new harddrive.

antoj: (good for you)
i tend to get overly paranoid with my things. especially if its an electronic device with a lot of important data on it. I've gone through so many harddrives because I've declared them dying (maybe before they actually were) and i also have a bin with like 20 old hdd in it. no jokes my last drive actually WAS dying.

that is making clicky death noises randomly (but not quite dead...yet) and also taking forever and 90 years to open a file folder. (srsly my internet was faster than opening my documents)

SO I GOT A NEW DRIVE. now i have 935gb of space. the only bad thing is having to reinstall EVERY SINGLE THING. it feels like i should at least have more new components in my computer after that, BUT NOPE ITS THE SAME OLD SLOW CRAP that won't even play alan wake :'c :'c :'c

i named my "NEW SYSTEM" stahlarms though because i am clearly not all creeping on stahl/killzone 3 atm. nope not at all.

i need to name the harddrive now too. it needs to be cool. but i will probably just call it Flea-Tortilla something. don't ask OH TOO LATE

AND NOW I GET TO SPEND ALL OF FOREVER INSTALLING PROGRAMS :'C

actually i had a lot more programs in my start menu in my old setup. but i dont even remember what i had installed. i feel like it should be important because i use the start menu instead of desktop shortcuts desktop icons are ugly AND I JUST I DONT KNOW. im sure i'll remember. eventually.

this post is pointless but i'm waiting for junk to transfer/install and i feel like i can't do much of anything else!!!!!!!!!!!

I think mine has enough gigabytes to equal one terabyte? At least that is what my neighbor told me...:3

After reading your last journal entry, it seems you rather enjoyed the book! Mine has been shipped, but who knows when it will arrive?!

Yea my new one is supposedly 1 terrabyte too, even though they always lose a few gigs...somehow. Lol so its about 70gigs shy, but still leaves me slightly over 900 to fill up. :D :D :D :D

YES! It was really good! There was a couple of things I didn't like about it... but otherwise it really follows the events of the game fairly well. Haha. It added a few scenes here or there and even gave a bit of a backstory on Stahl, WHICH I WAS ABSOLUTELY APPROVAL OF. always nice knowing more things. :D

Yeah, I never understood why you lose a few gigs. As long as my laptop runs for years to come, I don't care. Though, I do need to do some clean-up work to it. I was thinking of eventually getting an external hard drive too.

Unlike, the novel adaptation of The Fifth Element. I heard that it was horrible. There is little to no background info about the characters, which is what people want. I can't wait to read Stahl's back story! I'll let you know once the book gets here...;)

I turned my old harddrive into an external. :D It's pretty handy, and it makes it easier to copy data from my old one if I forgot to pull anything off.

AWESOME! I hope the book makes sense too.. lol I was realizing they don't really describe what some of the characters look like? I mean, it was easy for me because I've seen all the cutscenes a few times and played the entire game twice.... Otherwise it's really nice. I mean it gives backstory on the set up... since it takes place exactly after Killzone 2 (like literally seconds after the end of that game) so its kind of confusing to drop into it if you didn't play it... but the novel explains those gaps pretty good. They also changed.....a few things. One of the other characters I kind of like they made pretty unlikable in the novel and I'm not sure why? They make him out to be inept when I never got that vibe from him at all in the game. :| So idk.

BUT OTHERWISE IT'S FLAWLESS. LOL.

it was actually pretty cool because it copies a lot of the dialogue right from the game itself and I could hear it all in their voices ksladljksalkjd.

That was smart thinking!! I wish I could of done that with mine...:\

At least I know what Stahl both looks and sounds like! Malcolm McDowell has a very distinctive voice after all, LOL!! XD

Maybe, the book will be here today?!

I always do that with my harddrives... but then I always keep them. I have a plastic bin filled with them. It's kind of sad. LOL.

yes this is true. HE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT. well the other characters are pretty cool too. i don't really dislike any of them... except one part but its not present in the game so i pretend it doesnt exist but you could always ask if you had questions about stuff *_*

MAYBE!?!!? :D

When the harddrive in my Grandfather's computer died, he turned it onto contemporary art. In other words, he glued it to a neon pink piece of poster board and then framed it. After he passed, my Mom gave it to me...XD

Yeah, if I am confused I know who I can some to. The book still isn't here, but I will be getting a book on Leopard Geckos tomorrow...:P

My Grandfather really was one of a kind...:3

One of the authors of the Leopard Gecko book I am getting is Ron Tremper. He is responsible for some of the interesting color morphs that are out there today.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1882770625/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00

Ron just released a new Leopard Gecko book, that I would love to get my paws on! Sadly, his more professional books run about $20.00 to $30.00 and go out of print fast. Thus, the prices go up to $100.00+ over time:

I am bidding on a copy of his newest book:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/120937513532?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1426.l2649

Hopefully, I can get it for less then $30.00! :3

oooh. That is really neat. Is this to help you breed them? :o

also i see the auction already ended on that other one (i am so slow with comments ;-;) ...did you win? IT IS A LITTLE OVER $30 LOL.

Yep, it most certainly will! Though, I have bred them in the past, but things have changed some. The book will also help me to learn all the crazy new morphs!! :3

I lost, but I actually sat here and laughed my head off about it!! You see, the person that outbid me paid .50 more then what Ron Tremper sells the book for on his website. So, I ordered a copy from him and guess what?! He is going to sign it too. It is just one of those times, where I would love to message the winner and rub it in there face...XD

Wow, seriously? LOL. I wonder if the person who bid it up that high is aware of that... that seems kind of silly.

Some people just don't shop around I guess?! Then there are those that have to win the auction at any cost, it is their money. Very silly, but it makes me enjoy my copy even more...XD
