ARG stands for Alternate Reality Game. c: It's used for everything from movies to products to video games... lots of things. To put it in basic terms, the person/people running the ARG drop lots of hints or make lots of puzzles for people to solve. The answers to these lead to more things... some things are done online and others are done in person. That's kinda a poor explanation, sorry derp. Try this. The first Portal ARG (that announced Portal 2) was pretty intense.

You should tell me what your steam account is so I can add you as a friend :D Also I am very very sad to say that retail copies of valve games are one time use deals ;n; BUT I cannot say this for sure about HL2 by itself! The OB is (I tried letting my friend use my copy, nope.avi ;n;) but you could try HL2 :D

And yeah! It's not TOO expensive, but if you watch, Steam discounts games all the time. You could possibly get HL2+eps for maybe $10 total or less at the right time of year.

And yes! I'm completely serious! Christmas/New Years is when Steam has RIDICULOUS deals (the first HL game is exactly one cent one day a year. :V)

:D I got the entire HL1 set (Half-Life, Half-Life: Blue Shift, Half-Life: Opposing Force, and Team Fortress Classic) for $10 and both Left 4 Dead games for $15 (I think they're $20 each normally...) just by waiting. C: The deals are sometimes completely random too! I'll let you know if I come across nice deals for the HL2 set c:
