It was a passing thought.
WHAT IF I STREAMED DAN VS FOR SOME OF YOU GUYS and we all watched it together?!
That's how it started. A passing thought... but when a couple people expressed interested I looked into making this a reality. My conclusions are: my computer cannot do this.
so then Kayla came in and saved the day!!! my co-conspirator in everything I do...!
So basically it's come down to this: We can absolutely stream Dan Vs for you.
If you are interested here is what I am curious about:
-What day are you interested in doing this?
-What chat program would you prefer to use so we can ~hang out~ while watching the same video. (optionally we can use the site we're streaming from (twitch) but if we use a program most people have installed already it prevents you from having to sign up somewhere else)
-If Chat program: Voice Chat or no? I would be okay with talking to you guys during this BECAUSE ITS DAN VS if you guys would be alright with me in general and my (slightly) squeaky PS3 headset I use on my PC. However if we did this this pretty much means we'd have to use skype...!
let me know and then we can set this up and Kayla and I will make up a playlist of episodes and finalize the details.

Chat program: I think AIM is the only thing I have installed. But hopefully the site you stream from will have a functioning chat.
Voice chat: I don't know how to set up voice chat on my computer, or if it's even possible since I have no headset... but I kind of hate my voice anyway. >__> I don't mind if you guys do voice chat, however; just as long as I can reply in text.
because im responsiblelolTO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION THOUGH I was thinking a saturday? The hardest thing about juggling times is that there is some people from Europe interested too and I am so far in the past by the time I'm home from work on saturday (like 5pm-ish) that's...midnight? one am? lol.
I mean, unless Monday DOES work for people, in which case, i am home all day doing nothing. :b
Also for programs, I think we're going to end up using skype? the stream site does have a chat but it would require having everyone register an account there to use it. skype has both voice and text chat (in the same group, so some people could be on mic and some people just typing) and a mostly everyone has suggested skype already...? I looked into how to do group stuff on skype and it seems super easy (i don't really use it much myself XD) so yeah...
This Monday works for me. On Monday the 9th I have a doctor's appointment, but that should only take an hour in the middle of the day.
As for the time: most nights I would have no problem with midnight or 1 am central. Maybe even midnight or 1 am eastern (which would be 2 - 3 am here), assuming I don't need to wake up early the following morning.
Come to think of it, I believe I have a Skype account already. One of my friends convinced me to sign up in 2011 so I could talk to him... and then we never used it. XD
As for chat program, anything is fine. Skype is really great for group chats (both voice and text) buuut it's also a resource hog, so I think it'd depend on how well everyone's machines can handle that along with the stream.
We tested some skype adn the stream already last night... I eman, it wasnt a GROUP chat, but would it make much of a difference? my computer is pretty bottom line these days so i think if mine can do it hopefully moire people should..... er, unless they have a lesser internet connection? but that would just be net lag instead of like...computer being a dumper.
