crandles can't cope

ok so here is a picture of the new cat clicky.

he's cute. and hyper. VERY HYPER. lol.

Crandles doesn't like him though. At all. I feel really bad for her. When I came home from work yesterday she came to greet me as per usual, but crawled out from behind the television to do it. :(

Today when I woke up, she was back behind the tv again. The kitten was put in the other room and I coaxed her out from behind the TV, then I put her in my room again and she's been in here all day since then. I feel bad for her because she's tried to leave twice, only to come running back in less than 5 seconds later because she saw the kitten again.

I wonder how long it will take her to adapt, or if there's something I can do to let her warm up to him. I mean, I assume she will anyway, and he is put in the other room at night so she can have free roam then... and... I have some water/food for her in my room... but still. She isn't used to this. :(

It's been two days though, and Crandles isn't the best at coping with new things (LIKE ME) but she is my kitty so I just feel like I need to do something. :(

oh poor crandie-cat :( it must be kind of a shake-up to be all chillaxin' and suddenly having this NEW SMALL CHILD RUNNING AROUND EVERYWHERE. hope she feels happier soon. p.s. he's cute but crandles is way cuter okay

Crandles is cuter! Her fluff makes her the best ever, and no cat can have a tail as amazing and fluffy as hers. >:I

But it's definitely new-cat syndrome and the fact that he's so hyper. I just hope she can cope soon. :( It's really sad for me to watch.

I am also resistant to change! We can form a club: you, me and Crandles. And I agree, her fluffiness is TOTALLY AMAZING! Although some time I will show you my birthday twin's sister's cat, she (the cat, not the sister) managed to light her tail on fire once so now she has this amazing floofy tail.

I like the sound of this.

Also fluffy tailed cats are the best cats! How did the cat manage to light her tail on fire? POOR THING. D: As far as I know this is not why Crandles tail is so fluffy. She just got lucky. :b

ahh omg what an adorable kitty. *_* her markings are almost similar to crandles' too. maybe they are long lost cat cousins. :b

Aw, poor Crandles. No advice here--my two kitties were practically raised together since birth--but I'm sure she'll warm up to him eventually.

PS - Your new kitten looks like my friend's incredibly stupid cat. XD

I hope she will. The problem is she hisses at him and then runs away. He knows hissing means to leave alone (as our other cat just hisses and lays there, he leaves her alone) but when she runs he thinks its a fun exciting game and chases her... and that just terrifies crandles even more. :| We're trying to keep him from chasing her but she ALWAYS runs away and he's a tiny hyper cat. I'm glad she has my room to hide in that isnt behind the TV but its still sad.

LOL He is a very common cat-pattern... I actually know a few cats that look similar to him... but that is kind of funny. Its too early to tell how his intelligence is, but he is very friendly (and not afraid of anything)

The only advice I can give is, to just give Crandles time to warm-up. From what it sounds like she has been the only cat for many years, then this wild child shows-up. I think I would hide too, LOL!! XD

When I introduced Jaden to Jiraiya, believe it or not Jaden started to groom Jiraiya right away. To this day he is still very motherly towards Jiraiya. I think I said this before, but my Jaden looks a lot like your Crandles.

Did you get my PM by chance?!

Yay new kitty! He looks a lot like Luna who is gone now. I bet he's sweet :')

Don't worry, cradles will adjust. They may never really be friends though, cats are territorial unless theyre raised since birth together. .__.;;

He is very sweet! ...but also very hyper! he purrs really loudly when he's not too busy running around. :b

She's getting better, honestly.. I never expect them to be friends, but I do hope to stop seeing her running at top speed from him and hiding behind things.
