Yeah so. Resistance (from Insomniac) is over.

I already had a feeling. Resistance 3 ties up the story line Insomniac started pretty well, but leaves open questions about the universe in general open. Plus, they kind of hinted a lot that Resistance 3 was probably going to be their last game. They had been hinting for a while, but idk why it makes me so sad to hear them finally say they're done.

idk what to say about Resistance. I don't talk about it as much as other games I play because no one really likes them as much as I do, even less than the other games I like and I just idk... it's a very special series to me for some reasons. They're kind of stupid, probably, but honestly without Resistance I wouldn't have gotten a PS3. And I know, Resistance: Fall of Man was one of the better launch titles for the PS3 in 2006... but I got my PS3 in Oct 2008. Right before Resistance 2. 2 of 3 of the first games for my ps3 were Resistance titles.

And even before that, like, near when PS3 launched, around 2007... I had been interested enough in Resistance's concept to read up on its back story and everything despite not having touched the game or a ps3, not knowing anyone with a ps3 and not even having plans to get a ps3.

And really...? My PS3 and related fandom that came with it Fallout 3 (mostly) in late 2008 and early 2009 is how I met two of my closest friends...like ever. So maybe I kind of attribute that to Resistance as well.

I know the series isn't dead, I know other developers can probably make decent enough games for the franchise, but I'm always going to wonder how close to Insomniac's canon they are. I remember reading somewhere about how they had all these background facts worked out. I don't know how MUCH background they had, maybe they already put it in their 3 games? Who knows? But that's just it, what if they had all the answers and then....give it to someone else who decides they don't like it?

I'm just always going to wonder. Plus, Resistance 3 had a character I really really liked in it AND NOW....who knows what's gonna happen to him. :C

gah this series, so many feelings so many akjdsajkld everything. ;-;

aw well. i will definitely be into playing whatever it is Insomniac puts out in the future though. need more overstrike news now plz. :c
