it all started with a trailer...
btw idk if anyone here doesn't like the violence but this has a bit of it in it. :I HERPDERPDERP.
AND THEN... i got the game for my birthday. sort of...well, my brother claimed he didn't know what games i like (despite me mentioning an interest in deus ex before my birthday :I) and just got me gamestop cards that equaled the amount of a ps3 game. soooo i got deus ex!!!1
idk if i can even say why i love this game. there's a lot of things in it. its so ridiculously shiny (i mean, dat trailer.) and you get mini cutscenes for punching dudes in the face which sounds lame but is actually hilarious and amazing all at once. or maybe its because you can also do things like this. but also maybe it has to do with jensen's perfect hair. srsly i keep talking about his hair. i don't even know you guys. look at this perfect hair.
i stayed up till 3am last night just to beat the game. idec that i still feel like crap and i got like 4 hours of sleep.......aaaaand i still want to play it like 9 more times.
anyway, jensen has perfect hair, you guys. i've never really paid much attention to hair styles on characters this much. IDK WHY I EVEN LIKE HIS HAIR SO MUCH BUT I DO.

Weird dream or not, it was still neat! The game would make for an awesome movie too. The trailer even got me interested in the game and that is saying something, since I have been out of gaming for a long time. Well, I am still kind of in the Pokemon ring of course. A game that leaves questions is a game due for a sequel...:D
Thank you for the link, it is now analyzing my computer, I just got the following:
"Your computer can run this product because your system meets the Minimum requirements. If you want to see how you can meet all the Recommended requirements to have a great experience, look at the Recommended section below"
My computer passed, yippee...Now to get some $$$...;)
ALSO.. I am not sure if this game can have a sequel or not?! Deus Ex is actually an older game series.. with two others being released on PC/Ps2, I think?? I haven't played the older ones... but Deus Ex: Human Revolution (this one) is a prequel to those..so technically the sequel is actually the first of the older games. there is a "hidden scene" after the credits of DX:HR that is setting up the first game, even.
...but the other games don't have Jensen in them SO I DON'T MAN, I AM TORN OK. ;-;
That's awesome!!! :D Games often have really good sales going for them in the coming weeks. Steam especially. I am not sure if you have Steam? I would probably recommend that for the game.. it is all digital but they have REALLY good sales there. Black Friday I know they do lots of good stuff...sometimes up to 75% off temporarily on certain titles. I have a couple of my non-PS3 games set up through there and I like it. :D
I had actually never heard of the series, but like i said I have really been out of the loop! Ah, a prequel...then it does make sense if there is no sequel. Why don't the other games have Jensen?! What happened to him?! I know, he started a hair care product line...XD
I'd like to get a control for my PC, I hate using the mouse and keyboard. Though, I did survive American McGee's Alice and Clive Barker's Undying without a controller. No, I don't know what a Steam is?! I will have to check the site out...;)
I actually hadn't really heard of it either. I mean, I heard it mentioned here or there just because this game was coming out and I frequent game sites but it didn't catch my attention and I didn't know it was a prequel or anything like that till I got my hands on it. :D Though I did find an old PC copy of the first Deus Ex in some games my dad was sorting a few weeks ago. I'm going to give it a go too when I have a chance. ...LOL Hair care products... YEA. he would know best, huh?
I prefer a controller too, which is why I mostly play games on my PS3 or other consoles.. (and most of my games are PS3 exclusive...LOL) but there is one instance I can think of where I preferred the PC version of a game...:D I played through it like 3+ times on my PC after already beating it once on my ps3. Mouse and Keyboard takes some getting used to but its not bad. Though sometimes in sticky situations I often found myself hitting the wrong keys on the keyboard! ...that doesn't happen with a controller. LOL.
As for steam, its a program you install to your computer that keeps track of your PC games and has a built in store and stuff. It's neat. It's website is here (http://store.steampowered.com/). If you do download it and make an account let me know... I will add you to my friends list..:D
Cool beans about finding an ol' PC copy, kind of a coincidence if you ask me. Let me know how the first Deus EX games is. Though, I am sure the heroes hair is not as spiffy...XD
Well, Alice and Undying were PC only releases and I just had to have them! The keyboard was a pain with certain parts of Undying, when I had to get the Patrick Galloway to jump over a bottomless pit. Let's just say it took a few goes...;_;
Thanks again for another spiffy link. I am going to bookmark the site for now. Like I said I am getting ready, or I am suppose to be getting ready to go to a football game...xXD
I agree! It was when I was showing an interest in the series before playing this one...and I was thinking I might want to give it a whirl..:D I am glad I snagged it now. It didn't come in a box but the CD envelope it is in is still sealed! I am sure the hair will not be as spiffy...this game is 10 years old, I think? LOL.
ah, yes. jumping is kind of difficult sometimes on PC... <_< i had this issue too playing Half-Life 2... the good thing about most PC games is the quicksave feature, so if you miss something its just one button press away from trying again. :'D I think only one console game has quicksave on PS3... after having it on there I started wondering why more games don't use it. ;-; its so handy... Awesome! :D Alright, lemme know! And have fun at your game...
The game is 10 years old now?! Then again I think Spyro came out in 1998, the year I graduated. I feel so old...You will have to let me know your opinion of the main characters hair in the original Deus EX...;)
After a while, I got so mad that I could not make such a simple jump that I started purposely throwing Galloway down the hole. A lot of good that did...Yes, Undying did have the fabulous quick save feature. Maybe, more games do not have it for it makes a game easier?! I am not sure if I will get a chance to look the site over today?! I have a ton of messages to answer thanks to yesterday and it is cleaning day, yippee...:\
Yes it is!! It originally released in 2000. The second one came out in 2003...:D ...and the third one (Human Revolution) just came out... 3 months ago?! long time for another in the series.
LOL I have had games that do that before. Some parts where I keep dying I eventually just sit down the controller and watch the character die, and then tell the character that he sucks. (because obviously they are doing it on their own.....:b) I think the quicksave feature is a PC magic thing. Maybe it has to do with PC having more buttons to choose from. I know the PC version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution has a quick inventory select at the bottom of the screen which is absent from console versions...bcuz lack of buttons. :b
And its alright! Just whenever, and only if you want to! i know things can be busy sometimes..:D
Sometimes it is better when sequels get spaced out, it helps to keep things fresh and original. I know Cliver Barker's Undying was suppose to get a sequel, but it got canned! ;_;
LMAO!! XD I'd tell my character how much they sucked too!! Undying has a quick inventory, I think Alice might of had that feature too?! Stupid memory...
Of course I want too, I was thinking if I can afford to get Deus EX, that maybe I will take the laptop to Rodney's and play it while I am there. I got most of the cleaning done, I decided to do the rest tomorrow for I am still really tired from yesterday...:\
ahhh i hate that so much. :( none of my games are in sequel limbo right now though... unless the crappy ending of inFamous 2 counts...it needs something else to fix it. :b
unless i count the recent DLC as the new ending.I wouldn't be surprised if it had that feature. :D it's pretty standard in most PC games. as is quicksave. the one benefit of the keyboard I suppose.
well thats good most of it is done...that sounds like a fun plan. :) i am about to play some more myself...
American McGee's Alice got a sequel, but I do not think it went over well. Don't you hate when a game has a crappy ending?! :\
Guess what movie is on SYFY?! XD
Honestly, I do not do much while I am at Rodney's. Sometimes I take art projects over there, like Nightmare Moon. The rest of the time, I watch TV and entertain Rodney...:P
ah yea, I heard about the sequel...I know it has some fans. There is a theme for it available on playfire anyway. :D I don't know much about the series in general though.
Lets guess...Fifth Element!? i should watch that one of these days. maybe i should get my DVR to record it if it is on on syfy a lot? :)
Well that sounds pretty relaxing anyway. :D a good way to end your day, right?
Pretty much Alice mental falls apart, after he home burns down with her parents trapped inside and it makes Wonderland a rather nightmarish place. I love the overall design of the Cheshire Cat in the game.

In fact I have a big statue of him, only 1,000 were ever made!
The statue has a flaw, there is a serious weakness in the neck. The neck on mine cracked, but I repaired it with Model Magic. Well, it looks as if the Model Magic did not do the trick, but now I know of the wonders of Milliput...;)
Yep, Fifth Element was on SYFY last night. Do not waste your time watching it on that channel though for they cut it up something fierce! SYFY shortened the scene where Zorg demonstrates how the ZF-1 works. So you didn't get to see the net launcher, flame thrower (his favorite) and the all new ice cube system! Then the scene where Zorg chokes on a cherry, I have no idea what they did there. They cut and rearranged the whole scene. Terrible, it made Pickles cry...>:(
You never saw the Fifth Element?! Oh my, now I know you won't understand what I was talking about in my other reply to you. Sorry about that, maybe Santa Pickles could send you a copy for Christmas?! :3
Yeah, in ways...I like to snuggle up with Rodney on the couch, but sadly the man always has wondering hands...:\
Ah yes! I've seen that before! :D That's really awesome with the statue too.. 1000 is a really low number, not to mention its an awesome statue to begin with.
ahhh. that's a shame. ;-; I bet I could find it on netflix though. My dad subscribes to it and I know my PS3 can run the streaming service...:D I should find some time and do that.
My mom bought me the statue from Tower Records many moons ago, I think the statue was $70.00?! I have seen the statue go for as much as $400.00 on eBay! I am actually surprised my mom bought it for me, she really did not care for how it looks...:P
It really is, why cut the best scenes?! Yes, I am certain Netflix has it. I have a Netflix subscription, though mine is on hold right now until my dept is paid!
Wow! That's kind of super amazing. :D what a great deal!! and what a neat statue too. :3
I am sure they do too...:3 I'm going to look into that right now, actually...
My Cheshire Cat statue is one of those things I will take to my grave with me...:3
Let me know what you think after you watch it...;)
Ah, and I just watched it last night! It was actually pretty awesome. Zorg is a pretty cool character too... kind of a shame he didn't have a bigger role in it. :( Also, the gun he shows off to that army of aliens (I FORGOT THEIR NAME:D:D:D:D) the first feature he shows off that it can do is the same thing a gun in Resistance can do... i thought that was pretty cool. i wonder if Insomniac was inspired...:b
Sadly, Dues EX is to expensive for me at this time. Maybe, after my dept is cleared I can splurge on it...;)
Cool beans, I am glad you found it awesome. The movie can be a bit silly too. There are some Star Wars spoofs hidden threw out as well. Yeah, Zorg's role was a bit small, but then again it leaves him a bit of a mystery. I am always sad when he blows up on the Flosten Paradise ship though. Ah, the Mangalores...they kind of remind me of bull dogs. I like watching the one transform from a human back into his real form...:3
The ZF-1 is full of all kinds of surprises! Gotta love that replay button. Maybe someone who works for Insomniac is a Fifth Element fan?!
Yea, but at least you can take some comfort in knowing PC games are generally $10 cheaper at launch than console titles!? I paid $60 for my copy of Deus Ex...(well, in gift card money..|D) but Steam often has good deals, so it might go on sale at some point too. :D
Yea there was some funny parts in it, but I think it kept the pace up and kept it from being too serious or w/e. :D It worked anyway. You are right about Zorg though, having the small role does leave a lot more to think about. I admit I was kind of disappointed he was taken out of the movie so quickly and so, easily. :b It might have been funny to see his reaction to his ship being stolen... lol.
And yes! Those guys! LOL. The one part where they try to take Corbin's spot on the ship, and his face keeps twitching was really funny.
I wonder now! I mean, I guess its possible they could both come up with a similar idea....but it is pretty much the exact same thing. :'D It also happens to be one of my favorite guns in the game as well.
Maybe, it will go on sale for the holidays?! Hasbrotoyshop.com already has a spiffy sale going on. If you enter this code: FSFAM11 you get 25% off and free shipping!! I think the site is having issue right now though?! Maybe a flood of pony collectors have fried it?!
Yeah, so was I...Zorg is smarter then that!! It is like that theory I mentioned to you before, I feel that Zorg felt his life was in danger, from Mr. Shadow if he did not get the stones. We all do dumb things when our life is in danger! At least that is the impression I got, especially after he has a phone conversation with with the evil rock...
That scene is hilarious! Then Zorg's lackey shows up trying to be Korbean too. His failure made Zorg "a little disappointed!" You never even learn the lackey's name. Oh, there was a scene cut that explained why there was all that garbage. There is an alien race that takes care of Earth's trash, but they went on strike.
Maybe someone should ask Insomniac?! Did the one in the game have a little red button on the bottom of the gun?! xXD
Yes, actually steam does good holiday sales...they do sales on weekends and stuff to for random series. I picked up the last hl2 episode packs i needed for $5 during one of their sales. :3 Also, I did find the hasbro toy shop sale earlier...from a pony fan. so i am sure they've all been hitting it up. LOL.
I felt that way too. :\ I am not even sure what kind of deal he had with this rock, or how he got wrapped up in it.. but it seemed like one of those things were after he was too far in it was impossible to get out again. that one scene where the black is leaking from his head seems like he was motivated by fear, anyway.
LOL. YEA. i know i liked that. and the person behind the counter is probably like WHY IS THERE THOUSANDS OF THEM. sdkladkld. and i didn't know that about the trash...:'D but it makes sense. it was a good hiding spot for those other guys though so i am sure they didn't mind.
LOL NO. this is the gun right here~ (http://images.wikia.com/resistancefallofman/images/f/f6/Bullseye_rfom1.jpg) its called the bullseye, probably because of the tag targeting system it has. |D
Wow, now $5.00 I can afford...LOL!! I am also wanting Skyrim now, though I know nothing about the series! I found out about the sale from here on LJ...It seems 3 ponies went out of stock since yesterday. One was Honeybuzz, but I got mine from my last Walmart trip! I should post about my Honeybuzz tale, she was the only pony I allowed myself to get until I am out of dept. Well, Blossomforth the week before kind of just happened...:P
I am glad someone else felt that way, I actually don't discuss my theories much. Well, I sometimes do with the kid across from me...but he gets on my nerves! It was obvious Mr. Shadow offered Zorg money for he told the rock, "My costs have tripled." So right there, Zorg was fueled by greed in the beginning. Money is the root of all evil after all! Like you said, Zorg just got in to deep and knew nothing about the possibility of Leeloo stopping Mr. Shadow.
The black goop represents inner evil, I found out online for it was never clearly explained. Though, it was a bit obvious that it was hurting Zorg when the stuff was seeping from him. You can tell that Zorg really begins to lose his marbles in fear when he first returns to the ship with the case and realizes he failed again.
Yeah, the explanation about the trash was cut but apparently the original script was really long. In the book Luc Besson original wrote (it was never published), Leeloo actually laid an egg ever so many thousands of years. I am glad the egg idea was dropped...XD
Clearly there is no little red button on the bottom of that gun! Pickles says she would of asked about the little red button for sure, but she is not a killer. Huh, in the movie Gamer there is some kind of gun with a tag target like system. It sends a bunch of bullets to the same target at once. I'll have to watch that movie again...
Everyone is playing Skyrim right now. @__@; I am not sure if I am going to get it since sometimes the "dungeons and dragons" feel doesn't entirely interest me... but its made by Bethesda on their new engine, and I hear its really good so far. (for the record, Bethesda made Fallout 3, and is the game engine behind Fallout: New Vegas as well, but the Skyrim engine is the updated one from those games) I will probably end up getting it for my dad for Christmas because he has dropped me many subtle hints about Skyrim already...lol. so I'll see how he likes it first. :D
Ah, yes I can see that! I just didn't think that way because Mr. Shadow told him that money meant nothing...so I guess that means he could pay whatever to get those stones.
That makes sense too..maybe it hurts because no one likes to be aware of those kinds of things about themselves? And yea, I noticed that too. :b I felt a little bad for him at that point as well I wonder what would have happened if he had managed to get a hold of the stones...
an egg?? seriously? ok that is kind of weird...and yea, I am glad that never made it in either. What significance does that even play in it?
really? |D That's kind of neat... Resistance is the first time I ever saw a gun like that... but considering the first game came out in 2006 I see it wasn't originally their idea.
Yeah,
Hum, you have a point. Though we never saw when Mr. Shadow originally contacted Zorg. When Mr. Shadow does say, "Money is of no importance" you could look at it both ways. That the big rock has tons of money, where he puts it I don't know?! Do big evil rock have pockets?! Or at that point Zorg better get the stones or else. A life is worth way more then any amount of money in my book!
I have no clue, accept that Leeloo lived on a beach and laid an egg. Another interesting fact is, that the Diva only sings for 3 minutes every 10 years! They also wanted Mel Gibson to play Korben originally, Bruce was not a big enough name at the time...
Have you seen the movie Gamer?! If not, you may want to...the concept is really interesting...;)
