antoj: (WTF)
so like

that inFAMOUS 2 art book i have been slowly (but surely) saving pay pal monies for by selling things and doing commissions for...you know the one, right.

the other day i found out via my collector forum that the shipping on these books from this company is $100 to the US. I just about shat my pants and went to check for myself and sure enough, it is $100.

the forum also said that "australia is only $10 shipping :D" and i was like BUT WHY AUSTRALIA IS ALWAYS MORE WTH and its because the book company is ~*~in Australia~*~

i've done some poking around, via getting the weight of one of the other books the company publishes from amazon and slapping it into the australia post postage calculator.....looks like this company only sends express which is why its freaking $100.

so basically i was wondering if and when this book is announced and released if i could get an Australia middle-man for it. I don't mind if shipping is a little slower, it still will probs be about $50 but $50 is not $100 so...yeah.

but i do so need me a super special infamoose artbook in my life you don't even know. the extra $100 in shipping i was not expecting and would have to crap out several dozen more commissions to afford it....but i will do it if needed bcuz i need this ok

still though who ever heard of only using express and ~*~that's it~*~ for shipping. gujhaghgjg

I hate it when people charge ridiculous amounts on shipping.

The other day I saw an ebay auction for a Play by Play Blastoise. The auction closed at $9. Shipping was $68.

i just don't even see how that is even possible. D: was it international at least? fffffff.

I MEAN AT LEAST THIS WOULD PROBS BE $100. but they only offer one way to ship it which is what's getting me. I DON'T NEED IT IN 2 MILLISECONDS OK. I WOULD LIK TO SAVE $50 AND POSSIBLY TAKE A FEW MORE DAYS FOR IT TO ARRIVE. :c

international mail usually doesn't take too long to get to me, idk if its just where i live or what, but.....yea. even if it was 2 weeks longer IDC BCUZ FFFFFF money.

I don't think so, though I can't know for sure since ebay screens the winning bidder's name.

International Mail (excluding Sea Mail) doesn't take too long to get to me either. I usually get SAL packages within 10 days.

Oh I mean the origin of the Blastoise...was it just $68 to no matter who? thats kind of.....a lot.

lol i remember one time i got a package from japan before i got one from the other side of the US (georgia, i believe) they were both shipped at the same time, too.

no probs \o/ jsyk though shipping from here is pretty expensive for heavy things. idk how heavy it will be but it could wind up close to $100 anyway, unless you want seamail.

well the book company says it was $100 and i've heard they only ship express from other people that have bought from them...

i looked on amazon and it showed another one of their books was 3.3lbs or something, but i rounded it up to 4lb and ran it on the australia post website... express package shipping showed like 80 bucks or something, but the regular parcel was about $50 or something...does that sound right?

if its close to $100 either way i might as well just order right from them, but it seems like i might be able to get cheaper going something not-express. :c
