antoj: (SHOCK)
so i did a bad.

sort of.

i bought a collection item on my credit card, when i promised myself i wouldn't.

why?

because it was one of the ULTRA SUPER FUCKING RARE 1:1 replicas of Cole's AMP from inFAMOUS 2. the auction said only 20 were made, im not doubting it.

i am now literally the best infamous collector in the entire world. i heard about these being made but i never, ever thought i'd actually ever see one for sale.

I haven't seen one recently... but I did some math in my head, and had I saved everything I'd earned from graduation and sales, I could have easily afforded the next Suicune to pop up. (The problem was that I had no idea my sales would do so well, and I underestimated how much I'd receive for grad money by about $400.)

And now I'm torn between saving in case one pops up or splurging on all the CDs/DVDs that I've wanted for years.

What did the last one end up for? It was over 1k wasn't it? Either way, I totally wish you luck in getting one. :I As far as saving....I'd think, would you rather have a (maybe) suicune or cds/dvds? :O

Also, I guess that is the only thing that's sort of worked in my favor now... I'd been saving up my money in a seperate collection thing just because inFAMOUS 2 is out and cool promo stuff comes out around when the game does....but uhm....i still never quite expected it to be this much... plus my car broke too, stupid car :(

Yeah, it ended up being around $1400, I think. But the one before that, which was in better condition, went for around $900.

Well, I'd rather have the Suicune, if it appears soon. Otherwise I'd probably rather have the CDs/DVDs while I wait for Suicune to reappear. I haven't even seen a grailcune in 6+ months. It's like they're purposefully avoiding me...

Your car seems to break a lot. :(

Yea.. its crazy how these auctions go. :\ I know one of the inFAMOUS books I have apparently sold for 100+ dollars in the past... but I got mine for like $35... though I think its because the seller failed at listing it. but also sometimes those auctions are flukes... hard to say what drags attention from one to another. it can make it really nerve wracking at the end too. fffffff. I COULD GO ON AND ON ABOUT THESE AUCTIONS BUT I AM SURE YOU ALREADY KNOW. LOL. if only you could find a BIN suicune for like 40 dollars amirite

Though......that is also hard to gauge.. :\ At least with my stuff I can generally guess a time period.

AND THIS IS ACTUALLY THE FIRST TIME MY NEW CAR HAS BROKEN....my old one broke 9083259823 times because it was a piece of shit that leaked from everything that could possibly leak. the problem in my new car was kind of a fluke too.....steering column got wobbly. i didnt even know that could happen to cars tbh. :|

lol I've never seen a Suicune go for less than retail, which was somewhere around $200.

I've seen the steering column get misaligned on one of our older cars. But it generally doesn't happen to new cars...

awww. LMAO. 200 isnt bad though... theyre like 3ft tall or something right? DO YOU HAVE A PLACE FOR IT!? :D:D:D

yea see, this is what i thought too? it was the wheel tilt breaking... and i was like BUT I NEVER USE THE WHEEL TILT WHAT THE HELL, but it made steering my car really stupid. :| sakjdasldj im just hoping this is the /only/ thing that goes wrong with it. dnw to go through this car what i did with my old one. :( especially because im making car payments on it.

No, $200 is amazing! But I haven't seen them at that price in 10 years. When you're a kid, $200 is your life savings.

NO, BUT I WOULD MAKE A PLACE FOR IT. IT COULD GO ON MY BED AND I'D SLEEP ON THE COUCH. OR IT COULD GO IN THE LIVING ROOM UNTIL I MADE SPACE IN MY BEDROOM. (I'm sure my parents would appreciate that.)

Yeah, that's really weird. I've only heard of that happening if you ruin the alignment by getting in a wreck or constantly hitting curbs.

OH TELL ME ABOUT IT. long ago and far away when i was small child my favorite thing in the entire world was Scooby Doo... but it was before he got popular and had lots of toys...it was like right at the start of him getting popular again. Anyway, Toys R Us had this GIANT scooby plush that I wanted so badly...but he was $50. IT SEEMED LIKE SO MUCH TO ME... i ended up saving a bunch of birthday monies to go get him and it was the best day. also my parents tried to talk me out of it lol

ALSO....MAYBE YOU SHOULD TAPE IT TO YOUR CEILING!? :D:D:DD bonus if you somehow secure it to a moving object on the ceiling so then you can have a mobile flying suicune. THINK HOW AWESOME!!!!!!!

yea idk. it wasnt actually the alignment..it was the tilt in the wheel that lets you adjust where it sits. the repair guy said a pin inside of it basically snapped off which is like ffffffffff BECAUSE I NEVER USE IT. HOW DOES SOMETHING I NEVER USE BREAK!? >:C

I had something similar happen with a Land Before Time plush. It was $80 at the time. I checked recently, and it's down to $10 on ebay. I'm kind of tempted to buy one, for old time's sake. (And because it's Spike, who is a derp.)

lol I have no ceiling fans. I'd say I could hang it from the chandelier, except it would probably break the chandelier. But I could put it below the chandelier. And when people asked why I had a giant blue plush blocking the light source, I'd be like "What light source? My Suicune is the light source. Don't you see how it SPARKLES?!"

I did not know you were looking for a Jumbo Suicune?! Sadly, I may have to part with mine, but it is not 100% set in stone yet. This is the hardest decision, concerning my collection I have ever had. Selling Margarita was bad enough...;_;

Yes, I've been wanting one since they were released! ;o;
However, I've only started religiously searching for one in the past two years, since there was no way I could afford the plush prior to that.

If you do decide to part with it, I'd be super interested in buying it/bidding on it. (But I might need a week or two to get the money. I've received no paychecks from my new job, so I'd need to do some super fast collection weeding.)

I'm glad I've never had an emergency situation come up. I could sell off most of my collection in an emergency, but there are one or two items I would never want to part with. Thankfully those items would be pretty much worthless to anyone else. At least Margarita went to someone on the comm.

That is a long time to want something, but I understand the reason why! Even brand new from the Pokemon Center, the Jumbo Beast plush had hefty price tags!

I will let you know, right now it is up to an auction I have on eBay for a rare Okami model. There maybe some last minute bids, but it does not look promising...;_; Even if I do sell "Hobo," I won't be listing her overnight. I will need to locate a box big enough...

Honestly, I have no one to blame but myself for my $$$ troubles. I tired making my Suicune collection grow to fast, now I am paying the price. I am happy that Margarita did go to a community member, whose grail was a Shiny Suicune PokeDoll. I rather see my items go to the community, but I may put "Hobo" on eBay. I am not sure yet?!

Yeah. At the time I had a $20 per month allowance, so having $200 total was practically unheard of. XD

I've been searching for the shiny Pokedoll too, though not for nearly as long. I kind of regret not BINing Margarita, but that auction came at the worst possible time for me. (A day after I bought another high want, and before I had time to update my sales.)

Good luck. I thought at first that you were talking about this one, but the one you listed is much nicer, imo.

If you do decide to list Suicune on ebay, could you let me know? I generally don't check ebay for the giant plush. The only ebay listings I've seen for them plush are from that banned community member (lugiacollector?).

My Dad use to give me a $3.00 a week for allowance. If I cleaned the house from top to bottom, windows included I got a $2.00 bonus...*head desk*

I remember that you bid on Margarita, I felt bad that you lost out too. If only I could clone certain items...That seems to be how it usually goes, an item you really wants comes at the worst possible time! That is how I have gotten in trouble, for I'd whip out the ol' credit card...:\

Yeah, I do not care for that polystone statue, something about the eyebrows, LOL!! XD Anyway, the reserve has finally been met, but the auction is still not over...;)

I will most certainly let you know! I am not sure if I would do an auction listing with a "BIN" option or just have the plush for a "BIN" price?! Ugh, lugiacollector...we won't go there!! :\
