Ava was put down today. My mom took her. I was surprised because I was sure my dad had taken her. I knew someone had taken her though. I knew it. I looked for her around the house and didn't see her and she was doing so bad...
I didn't ask my dad because I didn't want to hear the answer cuz I knew what it would be, but my mom came home and told me what happened.
My mom told me when she had taken her to the vet, the vet told her that Ava's blood pressure was so low she was surprised she was still alive. Ava was always the world's most stubborn cat.
my mom said she's going to get ava's ashes too, and a picture and stuff. so we'll have a little memorial for her. i'm...glad. ava was almost as old as me so it's going to be weird not having her around anymore.

I really hope I didn't ruin the mood or anything, but the skirt/shirt on her made me lol. Very cute.
I think this picture is my favorite. I love those kind of shots. :)
It's nice that you'll be getting a little memorial for her, though. I think she deserves it. C:
*hug*
I'm so sorry to hear Ava is gone now, but I'm also relieved to hear that she isn't miserable any longer. :c Loosing a family member is never easy. <3
She was such a cute cat. I think a memorial for her is a good idea. And you'll always have the pictures and the good memories.
For as long as I can remember (see: forever) I've had 2 cats, all the time. We used to live in an apartment, and I remember our first set of cats were two gingers that I didn't really like, since they didn't behave and didn't like people. I remember when we had to give them away, and even though I didn't like them much, I was still so sad...
Then I remember Boots and Snoopy, but that's all I remember - names. We got them when they were older and didn't have them very long.
Then my grandparents gave us Truffles, who was a happy lil' cat. We got her because she was oooolllld and my mum's parents didn't want her anymore. I remember... she climbed down from the apartment balcony one day, and came back the next day after we'd looked everywhere for her. She's been hit by a car while she was out, but she'd managed to make it back to the apartment and even jump onto the balcony before she collapsed inside. She didn't make it, but I think that proves that cats aren't "just cats". They're smart and amazing, and I don't know what I'd do without them.
My current cats we've had since they were kittens. They're probably 9-10 years old. One of them, my darling Squeak, can't meow properly. Every time I come home from work in the middle of the night, he waits for me at the end of our driveway and then follows me around until I go to sleep. I don't know what I'd do without him, since he always makes me feel 100%.
To know you lost such a lovely cat (however stubborn) is just so sad. I totally get ya', bro. :(
Squeak sends his love. <3
One of my cats can't seem to meow properly either. She'll squeak every once in a while, but most of the time when she opens her mouth to meow, no sound comes out.
I should take more cat!pictures because that is the cool thing to do.
I love how people have these photospams of pets. ;v; I think it's a wonderful way to remember them.
Ava was so beautiful <3
Play hard over the bridge Ava <3
rip Ava ♥ she certainly had a beautiful life with you!
this picture is my favorite, btw. so pretty. :)
How's Crandles taking it? Has she noticed her housemate is not around? :/
