Steamworks would allow games to be updated automatically. Which is super awesome because that way you don't have to manually download patches to fix bugs and you'd get free, new content/updates. This is awesome for you console (specifically PS3 right now) players since this was a feature only available to PC players for the longest time. PC still seems to be Valve's biggest/most targeted audience, but w-wow, they're really throwing a bone at Sony with this one. Xbox players gonn' be mad.
Haha, I hear you ;n; I'm the exact opposite; I'm a PC person and I j-just can't really play games on consoles like xbox and ps3 i-idk why
As far as why Gabe had a very sudden change of heart, I'm not entirely sure we know o: Some people think Sony got tired of him hatin' on their platform and gave them better devtools or he was just trolling us this whole time who knows ffff
Actually, I do remember reading a comment about this that Sony offering him the chance to use steamworks on ps3 might have won him over...since i think xbox won't let him or something? AT LEAST, THIS IS WHAT I READ ONLINE IDK IF ITS TRUE OR NOT, but it might make sense.
i mean it makes it less frustrating or...idk maybe sony bribed him xDD IT ALL GOES DOWN TO MUNZ IN THE END ANYWAY. no shame in that though, i mean insomniac just announced going multiplatform in the name of getting a wider audience (read: more munz) by catering to xbox too. :I
