antoj: (Wat)
I dropped my cat off to get neutered this morning.

The vet called.

My cat is a girl.

YES. She got a spay, and she is a very angry kitty now. LOL. She's laying in a corner giving me a look, she knows it's my fault.

or maybe she's angry that this was the only way she could tell me she wasn't a dude.

Lol! I remember Sammie and Jake were so mad at everyone when they got spayed, they were growling and hissing and all sorts of mad.

And then Jake had to go back the next day because she ripped her glue open, and was even madder. Not fun. Their brother was much more pathetic when he got fixed, he just laid around looking all depressed.

Btw, we had the same problem with Jake...but we figured out she was a girl a couple months before we got her spayed :P And yeah, I thought before that Crandles was a boy from looking at the pictures...but now I'm looking at them again and she does look kind of girlish...

Oh and on an unrelated note, would it be incredibly cheap to just use Arceus to breeze through the Elite Four or should I do it the real way and grind my team up to level 60? >_>

Yea! I'm watching her carefully now to make sure she doesn't bite at herself. If I see her picking I'm gonna get a cone, I even told her so!

It's funny you mention the bit about her looking more like a girl now, cuz I'm noticing that too. :| When I look at her I'm like, you know, now that I know you're a girl you look way less manly.

funny how that works LOL.

AND NO, I WAS PLANNING ON DOING THAT EXACT SAME THING, HONESTLY. my team was like 50something and I was so sick of training them I never finished Diamond. OHOHO NOT ANYMORE :'D

I think I might do the whole OH LOOK A SHAT POKEMON OHSNAPITSANARCEUS for the lulz.

You could try a sock or a onesie or something similar; then she won't be as uncomfortable as if she had a cone, but she'll still be unable to mess with it. Obviously, if you use a onesie, you'll want to leave a hole for her butt :P

The vet gave us some stockinette when we took Jake back the next day, so we made them little t-shirts:

They were a lot happier than when they had the cones. The first two days were really the only time there was a risk of them tearing the glue open, I believe the third day they were running around without the shirts. Once she starts scabbing up, you won't have to watch her as closely.

Oh man, when the kittens were little, it was so easy to mistake Jake for a boy...but now it's like...Jake's barely four pounds, the tiniest cat ever, whereas Sammie is probably at least five, and I wouldn't be surprised if their brother Bubba is almost seven now. I find myself thinking "HOW did I ever mistake you for a boy?"

I've been using Arceus to powerlevel my pokemon at the end of Victory Road (Arceus assrapage + exp share = :D) but I'm getting kind of bored of it D: I was working on Firered as a kind of a break but it keeps deleting my save file and I don't know why T_T I was upset the first time, and decided to restart (but got bored really fast because I was like "Meh what's the point?") and then it DELETED IT AGAIN. Ughhh. But yeah, Pearl...I kind of want to fly through there with Arceus but at the same time, I'm thinking I should do it the "real" way...but at the same time...it's Arceus and it would be SO EASY D: D: Except I am almost out of Ethers and stuff so I might not be able to go all the way through with him unless I track down all the ones I didn't pick up...bleh.

p.s. why have I not uploaded any Pokemon icons? Dx

I KNOW RIGHT?! This was my first reaction. XDD;;

it's still weird to look at her now and say its a girl. :| I know I'll get used to it, but after 5 or so months of calling something a boy it's kind of hard to just shake it so fast.

GKGLG I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW MUCH FAIL THAT IS THOUGH. I still think she has a pretty manly face for a girl, anyway.

I know this comment is almost a week late, but the post is too funny to NOT say something.

lol How could you not know after that long? My friend had a similar situation happen with one of her ducks, but from what I understand, it's harder to tell a bird's sex than a cat's sex. (And I still call her duck a boy. Poor gender-confused duck...)

you know what? I honestly have no idea. I've had cats all my life (girl cats, even!) and I've never had this problem with any of them. I think it was because we found her in the street when she was tiny and I remember right off trying to figure out then. (it's really hard to tell on tiny kittens) and since I mistakenly thought she was a boy since then, I just stuck with it. I don't really spend much time looking at my cat's ass so I guess I never noticed that uh, she was a she? XDD;;

I still feel like the worst cat owner for not knowing sooner though! I bet that vet must have thought I was retarded or something lmaooo.

also, maybe the fact that she is the first long hair cat i've ever owned has something to do with it?? XD;
