fallout 3 glitches/shenanigans below cut.
So today I was messing around in my PC fallout trying to duplicate a "Hi-res" (aka: not a camera on a freaking tv screen) of this image because it's the best in-game image of my otp ever. ;___; EVERRRR.
I got sorta close but it's not as awesome as the ps3 one. THERE'S JUST SOMETHING ABOUT IT. DAMN YOU NO-WAY-TO-GET-SCREENSHOTS-PS3.
but that's not what this entry is about...
After getting those images I went into tenpenny tower to get some more pictures of them in funny outfits and right when I was setting up a shot for the win, THE TEXTURES EXPLODED.
No really, check. it. out.
I stared at my screen after taking those three pictures of the madness. Then I hit the esc button to bring up the menu and the entire screen changed into all kinds of weird patterns, until it eventually blew up the game (and my computer).
My favorite thing is that Randy's face has neon alt characters all over it. SERIOUSLY WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED DUDE? I guess the game had enough of my shenanigans. LMAO.

The whole game-blowing-up-thing reminds me of what Guild Wars did to my mom's computer, lol.
AND.. LOL that first pic you linked is the one of Randy with neon ascii characters on his face. i love the upside down question mark on his cheek.
Oh oh I have a noob question! On console versions, is there a way to turn the camera so you can see the front of your character when in 3rd person? I'm guessing you did that in the original version of your picture? I've been wanting to get a picture of my character but I have no clue how other than VATS, and usually during that I'm fighting super mutants that want to eat my brains Dx
My pc version tends to crash a lot (and lag like hell despite my computer not even being that horrible at all) but I don't know if it's cuz I have it modded and use the console to perform ever menial task in the game or if it's just extra buggy on the pc.
You need a kind of high-end PC to be able to run fallout 3 though. It's sorta picky LOL.
I think my PC should be able to handle it, it's pretty good. Though...does that mean I probably wouldn't be able to play it in Windows 7 on my Macbook? I want to be able to play it in class, hehe ^__^;;
Btw: Make sure you watch The Office tonight! It is EPIC. :D
You can always check the fallout 3 FAQ (http://fallout.bethsoft.com/eng/info/faq.html) to see if your computer falls in there. And no, it won't run on a mac. :D I don't know about windows 7 though.
Just for reference, my computer has the recommended system requirements on that page (not the minimum one) and a pretty high-end card (the lower end cards listed there .. really would suck LOL) and the game still lags/explodes often... but it might be because of my mods...BUT WHAT FUN IS PC FALLOUT WITHOUT MODDING IT?! PFFT.
And I wasn't taunting you! D: I was just telling you that if you miss it, you would regret it ;P

I just don't understand where the game got those textures from. LOL. The entire game kind of turned brighter too (the extra washed out lighting) and even the bookshelf in the background is purple-ish.
