this exactly. They're free to redesign him if they want, but unless they're going to tell us he got a nose job and botox and then died his hair and got a bunch of tattoos, they can't change his core features or de-age him.

Pretty much any studio that listens to its fans is good by me. They're usually making the best games too, so it's extra awesome to support them. Also I hope that Insomniac listening to fans means they'll bring back the weapon wheel and story co-op for R3...
