My filtering = screen + soft light layers. That's it. |D I use screen to lighten dark icons and then soft light to make them less omgmyeyes bright. I rarely mess with the colors (and even when I do, the only thing I know how to do is a navy blue colored layer set to exclusion...which doesn't look great on every icon). I know how to do a lot of shit in PS but making awesome icons is not one of those things. :|
