this post is going to be about video games

a week or so ago (I FORGET WHEN :D:D:D) i played the demo for spec ops: the line. AND IT WAS REALLY NEAT. i like the environment, and despite it being in a city that's covered almost entirely with sand (and destroyed by sand storms lol) it's not /all brown/. Not that brown games bug me, but people bitch about it a lot. and i bet people will bitch about that game "being brown" anyway lollo

I'd been watching the preview images/videos for this game for a while now (over a year? i think?) but I hadn't planned on buying it right when it came out... but now thanks to that demo I've pre-ordered it off amazon. oh, and amazon is giving me free $10 for pre-ordering it from them. free amazon money and a game? sold.

I also pre-ordered the new Resistance vita game even though the studio behind it has that terrible "playstation move heroes" game on their roster oh god why BUT I'M TRYING TO GIVE THEM THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT. But Insomniac is done... so... :'c I'll have to deal with it.

BUT THIS BRINGS ME TO MY NEXT POINT. I feel like I have too many uncompleted games. TOO MANY. And now I have to decide which one to play next. I'm hoping I can finish two full games before Spec Ops comes out (end of June) i can probably do that. i could probs do more if i wasn't so intent on replaying games i've already played. killzone 3 is a cool guy though.

i have other uncompleted games, but out of the playstation 3 and the Ps vita games, which should I play next!? (also Resistance: Burning Skies isn't out yet, but will be on Tuesday, so i added it anyway)

Also E3 is next week!!! NEXT WEEK!!! NEXT. WEEK.

i don't even know what to expect, other than obvious things, but oh golly gee whiz... i am looking forward to the unknown. btw, if anything inFamous related is announced the internet might implode, and it might be my fault. just a fair warning.

also looking forward to anything from insomniac. hoping to see more of overstrike. :x The devs keep tweeting about playing the game SO I HOPE THEY WILL HAVE SOMETHING TO SHOW AT E3 NEXT WEEK. im too excited.

and i might be getting sick BUT IDC BCUZ VIDYA GAMES.

Brown games bother me because I cannot see what is going on. I also get bored easily if the scenery looks too similar, but I realize that not everything can be Katamari levels of colorful.

I have too many uncompleted games too. I'll play them for a while, but then I'll start replaying one of my Fire Emblem games and forget about the unfinished ones.

My enthusiasm for E3 has faded ever since the Wii came out. I really don't care about Nintendo's new motion controls. Until they give me a console that allows decent online play, I don't want to hear about their new technology but I'll probably buy the Wii U anyway because it will have a Smash Bros game.

tbh most of the games I have that people generally hate for being "brown" aren't entirely brown. One of the biggest ones I hear called brown is Resistance... and i'm like, did you play the same game i did? (http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/2/22251/779986-orick_chameleon_super.jpg) I get bored of the same environments too, but I generally don't notice this in most of the games I play. lol.

THIS IS MY PROBLEM. :( I am just like "oh, i could play this game i haven't ever finished yet" ........ /puts in game i've played 4+ times already

yea.

idc about anything nintendo is showing. wii u looks like more gimmicky crap that i don't even care about. :b "NEXT GEN" sounds like its going to be how the Wii is regarded this gen. tech slightly better than the gen before it, but when the new xbox/ps come out it will be like OH THAT THING. not that graphics matter all that much to me, but it bugs me so much to see people touting how "NEXT GEN" the wii u supposedly is, when it really isn't THAT MUCH better than what we have rn. plus its got gimmicky motion controls which to me is a huge setback.

IM JUST EXCITED BCUZ SONY. YES.

oh but also nintendo has claimed the wii u will provide decent online service. who knows how it'll play out but part of me hopes they kill the "friend code" bs and stick to user names/gamertags like the other consoles because its MUCH EASIER.

You are not alone when it comes to have uncompleted games! Where has all my time gone?! I use to be able to sit down and play video games for hours. Is this what happens when you get older?! If so, then it sucks...:\

i hope to never lose the ability to do this... lol i just spend all my time replaying my other games instead of new ones. I need to stop doing this. :b

Some games certainly are addictive, especially those with millions of different alternate endings. That is why I could never put Chrono Trigger down...XD

YES! I have this issue too...though some of the games I've been into replaying just have 1 or 2 endings... :| and even after I earn all the trophies for them...... I just can't stop! LOL.

There are three SNES games that I can think of that I played over and over despite lack of a fancy new ending. Those games would be Mario Kart, Super Mario World and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Of course, with Mario Kart I was trying to get all the trophies, but even after I did, I still kept playing...XD

[identity profile] antoj.livejournal.com 2012-05-30 10:42 pm (UTC)(link)
HAHA YES! Those games are all awesome too! I played them lots when I was younger... even though I was kind of terrible at games back then. LOL.

I kicked butt at Mario Kart. Sadly, now if I try to play my wrist screams at me. When I got Mario Kart for the Wii, I would put a piece of tape over the accelerator...:\

Oh no! That's awful. D: IDK HOW I WOULD COPE FFFFFFF. Is it like that for all games, or just the ones where you need to hold down buttons?

I know sometimes playing Jak X my hand gets a bit sore because of the odd button combination I'm constantly holding down.... but it's the only game that does it.

[identity profile] pheonixxfoxx.livejournal.com 2012-06-01 02:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Not all games, mainly if I just need to hold down buttons. I gave-up on Mario Kart for my 3DS system. I would complete two tracks and then my wrist would be in agony. I am going to talk to my primary doctor about it when I see him again. Sadly, the problem has only gotten worse. The pain now shots to my elbow...;_;
